Not bad for a few hours in a park. I have a very low track record with silver in parks. I can get coins and relics with some age on them just not much silver.

What detector do you use as you need one with great depth for those pounded parks, all my silver from parks is 10"+. HH

Lately been using the makro racer. I am not sure about depth on racer just yet I have hit a penny at 10" but nothing deeper yet.

When looking for old coins in those pounded parks I only dig the real deep stuff unless it VDI's just like a silver coin, the VDI on the MXT is always spot on when its 8" or less. I do this so I'm not wasting time digging clad or other junk as this park you could dig clad and other signals all day without getting a single old coin. HH

I lack the discipline to only dig the deep stuff, I get the what if stuck in my head. I don't hunt parks a lot but when I do I certainly don't make the most of my time.

I only do that in parks though as they have been pounded in the past and I don't really like detecting them either I would rather have fresh ground. HH
