FISHER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
Well, after almost 14 years, one of our Fisher Impulses finally went to that great sandy beach in the sky. I called the offices and Felix had me send it in. He explained to me that the Impulse was discontinued and parts were no longer available so a replacement was impossible (major bummer). Anyway, after they received it, verified it's demise and found the warranty card I had sent in, I get a call from Felix. He offered me a straight trade for a 1280-X Aquanaut or for an additional $200.00, a CZ-21 Quicksilver. I opted for the CZ-21.
He told me that the CZ was out of stock but a shipment was on its way and would be there any day. That was cool, he (Felix) was both friendly and up front. It's pretty hard to ask for more then that. He also threw in a lifetime warranty as the Impulse had one.
I still think the Impulse was a better unit overall but none the less, the whole thing was a great experience. My best to Felix and the whole Fisher team for the professional and courteous manner they used in this transaction.

The Impulse was a Pulse unit and the CZ21 a VLF. It was good that they threw in the lifetime warranty for you. I wonder though why they had to wait on a shipment. From where when they are supposed to manufacture them.
