Help ID Maker's Mark on 14K stick pin

I've posted pics of this pin in another forum. Trying to track down the maker of this delightful piece.

i can't quite make out the mark, but it is very similar to that of Link & Angell of Newark, NJ, a fine high end producer of gold and silver jewelry. do the circles in the mark contain "L & A"? even if it is not Link & Angell, it is still most likely a piece made in Newark, which was an epicenter of fine jewelry production in the late 19th and early to mid 20th centuries. the quality and design of your stickpin are typical of circa 1905 Newark jewelry.

Thank you. The piece is fairly worn and I can't make out any letters inside the circles.
