How to mark the target
I think the reason that a lot of people fail to dig up treasure is that they have not learned how to mark the target correctly. Put a silver target down and then follow the signal back to it. When the rods cross or the swing type LRL tells you that you are at the target look and see where you and the target are. There are ways to correct that distance if you have one. For me I want the target under my heel...Art

Now when you are standing on the target and when the rods are not closed try this. Push the rod out all the way out and then pull them all the way in. They should have opened or close somewhere. There are only two spots that I can make sure that the rods will be crossed every time. That is all the way out or when my elbows are against my ribs. I can repeat this every time. You then trim the rods to close when your arms are in a position that you can repeat every time. If the rods open then close right away the target is less than one foot deep...Art
