Hello,
So, after finding the black marble this week, while digging a metal target, I decided to collect all the marbles I've found detecting and ask if anyone could ID them. Let me just say it's strange to be digging and have a jet black sphere roll into your hand. It was kind off surreal. Anyway, here is the pic. When backlit with a bright white LED the black appears to be dark purple or blue.

Cool, definitely save marbles when you find them, some are very valuable! Yours are mostly 1940s and up. I can;t tell much about the first one from this pic, but the second is a Vitro phantom conqueror (named for the WWII victory) and the next is a newer cateye, maybe 1980s or newer. Last is hard to date, since solid colored and transparent colored marbles have little int he way of identifying features. Cool finds!

Here is another pic. It's harder to photograph a marble than I thought it would be.

The black marble looks like one of those found in the old board games of the 50s and 60s.
