Gold in Douglas, MA?

Hi, I've recently started exploring around Douglas, MA for gold having heard it's been found there before. Today I found one tiny "fly poop" piece. Has anyone searched around Douglas at all for gold via panning/sluicing? I'm looking for any tips as to where to search, and/or someone to join me if interested. Thanks, Jeff

Hey Jeff, I’ve been relic/coin hunting in Douglas at a permission that Tnet member “dirteater” let me into, it’s actually her mom’s house from the 1750’s. I wouldn’t even know where to start looking for “Wild” gold. Have you looked in purgatory chasm on the sutton/ Douglas line? It’s right on rt 146 south.
