  • Just dropped by to say hi and how you been doing?
The Coach is back on the road. My friend Dennis, the one who helped me Weld my exhaust manifold, has a new piece of property out in the Mojave Desert and I need to help him bring some gear out there.
And maybe we get to do some dry washing while were there.
It will be cold, but it should be clear I hope it's not windy.
Happy New Year to you and yours ct8620.
I hope you find many new riches in 2013.

Not long now. I got 7 out of 8 bolts out without breaking them. So the exhaust manifold is now loose. My mining buddy Dennis will be welding the cast-iron on Sunday. I'm glad I only have one broken stud to drill out and re-tap.I disconnect the exhaust pipe tomorrow. For bolts were real problem and were seized. For two days I tried breaking them free. frustrated I went to O'Riley's auto parts for a solution. I found these. What was taking me 2 days took me 30 minutes with these.
Flash, this is your after Saturday night update. It's now early Sunday morning I've started working on my coach. It's in front of my garage and I'm taking it apart. The crack is extensive on my driver side exhaust manifold. One of my friends said that they will help me welded back together. He's an expert at welding cast-iron. I should be able to have a put back together in just about a week. It's all that I can think about now. After a full inspection I found about half a dozen other minor things on the engine. Two things I've already take care of. Tomorrow I start pulling the manifold off the engine block. I'm also going to replace all my fan belts at the same time. I'm going to share this message with the other guys here too.
I can take my smaller sluices. We will get some good gold. I dig like a monster. 15 buckets solo is normal. I won't dig like that unless I get a good test.
I'm over in the South Bay 4748 W. 167th St. Lawndale 90260 3 houses east of Inglewood Ave.,off the 405.
    I could meet you
Hey CT I wonder if I could catch a ride up to EF the next time you go.
There is gas money and food in it for you.
My Coach is out of commission the rest of the year.
I can't stand not going up there.
    My schedule is wide open.
I can stay as long or as short as you like.
My hand dredge is dialed in now.
The trap holds about a pan of material.
I have never asked anyone for a ride up before.
    If you can't no biggie.:goldpan:
    That's great, good job.
I found my picker after I pulled a rock off the wall of the hole I was in at HF Bend.
that plus flood gold. I'm Happy.
That's where I was a month ago. My Avatar is that gold! Good one.
Nice. I'm going to try and go through the cons tomorrow and lump it all together with what we pulled out of the sluice box and snap a shot off. I pulled out one really nice flake that I saw sitting there after pulling a rock down from the bank. It's pretty thin so it doesn't weigh much, but it's impressive when looked at straight on. Pix to come.

We were working about 50ft south of the broken bridge...
I know you are up at EF but I just did a clean up from Friday.
I got 14 pieces plus a picker from the HF South Bend in 4 buckets
