    Panned Pickers Picture

Here are the few little pickers that i have panned in the three times i have been out since i started in march. All of them were found on GPAA claims in Linn county Oregon.

    follow the gold

follow up by finding the source, its washing down from somewhere also check the land around the river or creek. in the past the stream may have been vary shallow and flooding would cause a fanning of soil and gold on the flats and settle down into the soil and stop at the bedrock. check around any large rocks that may be there. its slow going but try to find the source.

    Panned Pickers Picture

The area was heavly mined in the 1870's and the hills are dotted with abandoned mines. I have gone to check a few of them out but most are on private property or claims gaurded by some really rough lookin oldtimers. Right now i think i am doin great. I cant wait to be able to afford a small highbanker/dredge combo to do some work in the river where i know more gold is hiding.
