What MD should I bring to Calf.?

have done a lot of hunting here in Okinawa as most of you know, I Have a Fisher CZ-20 and 2 Fisher Impulse for water hunting.. I will bering my CZ-3D, but if hunting for gold..Would bringing the Impulse be a good idea? or is the CZ-20 Better or should I just buy something new all together??
Any info would be great. I will be in San Diego abd hope to be hunting out in the desert from there.
