Hello,
I had a couple hours today to get out with the new makro gold racer for some field test.
This gold location is quite mineralized and ground balances at 85-89 on the racer. I detected in all metal mode with a little isat adjustment for quick retune of threshold after going over hot rocks. The racer is surprisingly smooth thru this area which usually makes quite a racket on other detectors. It was very comfortable to operate for the short trip. Gold racer found 5 pieces today for 2.4 dwt. Gold racer will definitely be going out to alot of my gold locations.
Good luck

I recently bought a Gold Racer and am concerned that I may have a problem. Regardless of what type of soil I am in I always get a GB value of 90. Clay soil, salt water beach, rocky soil it always shows 90. Does your unit give you different GB values in different soils?

Mine griund balances fine whether it is 60's or 80's or whatever number. What settings and coil were you using? Did it beep confirming ground balance was complete. Or was it hard to get it to beep?

Thanks for posting the pictures, and thanks for the feedback on the Gold Racer. It's good to know what's really working and impressing out there in the gold fields.

All the best,

Lanny
