You are in a good spot there that might warrant more effort than just detecting exposed portions of bedrock crevices.
A big mistake I've made is detecting a nugget..checking for more surface nuggets....then walking away to find more ground.
Luckily it kept nagging me in the back of my mind..and I finally came back 3 months later and put in some serious labor.
Learned a good lesson.
