skunked today but found old coin

Today I stumbled onto an 1881 Indian head penny out in the gold fields. Got it soaking in oil right now....pretty ruff shape but hopefully I can clean it up some for a pic soon.....
Found a 1906 V-nickel last season same area.....

found my first coin last year in the gold fields, 1905 v nickle. i thought it was a cool find. come to find out its worth about 5 cents. go figure. between me and a friend we nabbed about an ounce from that seam.

Nice find! First coin with the detector in the goldfields for me was near an old cabin, 1944 U.S. dime, in great shape. Looked like it had just been dropped.
