SHIVER ME TIMBERS ME FIRST NUGGET (((((((UPDATE)))))))

I went to the beach park today abd decided to detect the banks and found this tangled in some roots about 3 inches deep
it was in realy dark soil
it is heavy and solid and soft and shines the color of gold.

im 99 pecent sure its a nugget as they have been found around here befor.
not too bad id say for just hunting coins.

    Love the new XLT

heres the pics and Ill update after the gold test and weight tomarrow,

Took it in and had it tested today and it tested in at 18k but only because thats all his test would do was 18k

he looked under a scope and said it has no signs of breaking of jewelry and was 100% sure it was a real gold nugget most likely 24k as it is soft it doesnt crumble or break it just scratches and dents kinda like lead

the reson it doesnt look like a nugget ios a bad pic and also its dirty and has like rocky dirt mixed with it on the outside
ill be cleaning it and re posting
it weighed in at 2.1 grams.
    Im Happy

Re: SHIVER ME TIMBERS ME FIRST NUGGET

Don't look like any gold nuggett I've seen in 50+ years a gold grubbn'. Take straight ammonia and a toothbrush to it to clean up for correct ID.Take a knife to it to see if it cracks, crumbles,or crunches(gently)gold doesn't do any of the aforementioned,in nugget form. It looks like leaverite.Tons a au 2 u 2-John

    Ima so excited.

It was found in some roots and dark soil and I Almost gave up it was kinda hard to find.
    but persistance paid off.
Ill have it weighed tomarrow as well.
its pretty good size and heavy for a small NUGGY.

    UPDATE>
Took it in today and had it tested and he had a test kit for 18k and it was positive as at least 18K then he studied it under scope and said no signs of it falling from jewelry and that he was 100 % sure it was 24k and a real Nugget
It weighed in at 2.1 Grams
Value 55.00 to 60.00 bucks just for the Gold.

I guess you know where ill be heading soon as I can and this time ill have the XLT on prospect
    thanks for looking

    UPDATE NUMBER 2

So Here is the scoop after returning to search again....
I searched the ereah where i found the nugget and all I found was some sort of a twisted wire like light and hard but not aluminum
im thinking titainium. it was found about 4 or 5 inches from the nigget.
after showing the nugget to some prospectors they dont think nugget because of its appearance.
One of the things I noticed while digging there was that abvout the second inch down was a half inch thick grey sandy grity soil
So im thinking my Nugget may be melted gold teeth and the grey is cremation ashes. it was dumped in a spot over looking the ocean
i could be wrong but thats what im thinking it may be.
I have found someones remains from a cremation.
It doesnt kreep me out or bother me to find it, its just ashes
HOWEVER id in fact it is ashes from someone

DO I KEEP THE GOLD NUGGET OPR RETURN IT ?

And DID THEY USED THAT HIGH GRADE OF GOLD FOR TEETH. or maby it was a wedding ring...hmmm

If you consider yourself to be a person with any morals or ethics whatsoever, why do you even have to ask if you should keep the gold filling or return it.

The chance of finding out with any level of certainty, who the gold belonged to and who it would belong to now, is slim to none. And even if you did find out and managed to return it, what do you think they would do with the gold?

I know that if it was my ashes that got scattered by the ocean, or where ever, I wouldn't care what happened if someone found my old melted gold fillings. Its not like I'd have much use for them anymore. If I'd wanted to leave them to someone, I'd have made some arrangement for just that. In fact, I'd say kodo's to them and may they enjoy their find.
