Well, I suppose a person has to decide what a 'coin detector' is & isn't. Is the Tesoro LST a coin detector? The MXT? Fisher CZ series? With the last 2 I've found a few pounds of gold nuggets, from sub-grain to 2 oz in size. I even out-hunted 2 guys using ML SD2200d's with a CZ6a. Hmmm, last time I checked the ML SD's were considered full on nugget detectors.. and PI to boot! I'd say a lot has to do with the guy/gal swinging the detector rather than the machine itself (though I WILL agree that some detectors are woefully inappropriate as nugget machines). ..Willy.

After having an 5900, AND living in Arizona - I say - "NOPE". Lots of hot rocks, and really light on being able to discriminating for the ground. I tested it on one of our nuggets - didn't happen.

The Ace, I have no knowledge of.
