I have bent my last $4.00 hand shovel. >:(

Someone please help me choose a new digging tool for rocky soil and compacted gravel. I think that my perfect tool would be about 20-27" long with a 2-3" wide blade with a foot thingy.

Predatortools.com has this http://predatortools.com/products/88.htm, but I am thinking that the blade is a little too wide.

Any recommendations?

either buy one of the predator digging tools for $40 or go to Lowes and buy an OXO trowel. I have had an OXO for about a year and still have not been able to bend it. They are $10 at Lowes.

Trescher, I was at a competiion hunt in the Dallas area a year or two ago and won this one which really seems to do a good job and wil cut rockly soil pretty good. Here's a pic and the link to the club that put on the hunt. I believe Mike Skinner was the hunt master. He may know who made it as there were several as prizes.

Here is a picture of what I am looking for.  Similar to yours stoney56.  Any idea where to find one of these?
