Thanks to all who replied and I get it. I went out and got the book, Digging... What an inprovement. The DFX pre-sets are really just a starting point, my gti pre-sets are usable compared to the DFX. Im already trying costum programs with some good success. now im on my way to get a 6x10 DD coil as the 300 is a little big for the areas I hunt. BTW alittle history, Ive been detecting since 1982 my first detector was a 5500 which i sold to get the GTI which has the treasure talk feature that I still use, also my very first day out way back then I lost the dollar coin I was testing my detector with ... I never did find it. Again thanks all you have woke me up. Don.
