It's dangerous to be right when those with a thimbleful of perceived authority are wrong.
Something about somebody finding a machine gun?
I used to lurk here and at a few other sites, and I seem to remember a post about somebody finding a 9mm (I think) submachine gun, a silencer and a few magazines in a case while detecting a park.
I remember the pictures and the fact that the guy turned it over to the police.
I think it was a few years ago,I don't remember which state, or if it was THIS site...
Anybody remember anything about that one? I just thought it was really neat.

I believe that it was a tech 9. I think you are right it might of have had a supressor with it and a couple of magazines. It is a relatively inexpensive gun and from what I hear prone to jamming. They did turn it in I think.

Right in the garbage with the rest of the trash.
