yes, the md'r preserves history just fine. They write the books and guides that the archie refers to when writing their works on their 4x4 pits, about the items they just found. The history is "preserved" and you're welcome to come "enjoy it" by looking at it on their mantle place, or buying it when they list it on ebay.
