saturday was a get a few things done erly in the AM kind of day
bought a new safe (was runnung out of room in the gun safe )got an oil change ,clean the car etc
so after getting this stuff done in an hour man what else to do
go to the library and research some stuff
well i was looking for a few specific things blah blah
when i came across a few things i wasnt expecting
one was a militia trail(circa 1830's) that merged into a major setteler road
which i had been wondering and looking(on paper and foot) on and off for 2 years
(nothing concrete just better reference to work with)
then when looking threw book of the history of a local town (far edge of the county)
i came across an interesting note about the local "grange"
they held a 4th of july picnic for 14 years at a grove near by
HMMM possible iceburg material
just about 1942 they stoppped having the due to WW2
seems just before they stopped the 4th celebrations
it was one of the most popular "rural" functions with venders and ball games and 100's of people attending
now the trick is to find the grove since there are no groves near it for like 4-5 miles
so beside the usual goodluck cheerleading posts how about some ways to figure out were it was

and ask. :P "Where was the 4th of July picnic"

The Three Princes of Serendip would find out.

Sure the area would have some assisted retirement homes,
or condos; lots of old bodies just looking for someone they
could talk with just a bit.

Princes would also ask if there was an old Grange Hall
Grange halls put out pamphlets with info.
