Found what seams to be part of an old measuring scale. Found the parts about 2 ft from each other. I particularly like the way the loops are wound up on the chain. Looks to be copper loops. Foun

The measuring scale is from a tape measure. I can tell by the end of it. Someone probably broke the tape and threw it down. Could be anywhere from 5 to 60 years old or more.

Don't think those are from tape measures. The end on those are more of a T shape and this has the ornamental end on both ends. It could be from scale and be weight increments.

Yeah I know it's not from a tape measure. It has 0 in the middle and goes up to 4 and down to 4. Just wish that there was some markings on on the plate to positivity id it and search the Web to get a full picture of what it looked like.
