Is a sniper coil worth it or a thing of the past.

Either one should do the job pretty well in the trash. IMHO the sniper should be considered alive and well, but if you have either, you don't need both.

The smallest dd coil Ive found is the 5x8 made by garrett. So it being 8" long I wasn't sure if the 4.5 concentric would be better

Bought a used 5" Excelerator coil to try on my Minelab Safari, and have not taken it off since. :tongue3:

I have an X5 coil and use it constantly...far from dead. Never used the 5x8...?

I've got the sniper on my Fisher limited and love it. I'll purchase the 5X8 for my Pro this spring. But yes the sniper is still alive.
