Found at ghosttown, please help identify!

THe town of fairfax, wa, last resident around 1941, first around 1890.
Found the pot/pale with the clump of screws/nails/wrench all rusted together inside... Any way to break it all apart?
Also wondering what two metal pieces in front of the pot could be!
Thanks for looking!
And any idea what era the pot is from would be cool!

thde flat item looks like a length of bicycle/roller chain folded up. the other item is a faucet stem.

Evaporust works pretty good at dissolving the rust away. You might even get that Crescent wrench working again!:laughing7:
