Anyone ever use these? If so, what are your thoughts? Also since it does not turn off, how long do the batteries usually last?

My father gave me one many years ago. The battery's lasted about 15 years before I changed them. It is handy to know how much change is there.

mine couldn't fit halves, and found it to be not so accurate on reading dimes vs. pennies.. gave up on it eventually.

I did notice that with pennies that had chunks taken out of them. They were the ones that registered as dimes due to their reduced size.
