Bounty Hunter 202 Sensitivity Issue?

I've noticed with my Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 that if I swing too low to the ground and touch/hit tall grass, a weed, a stick, anything...it usually sets the detector off. If the ground isn't cut fairly flat, I have to raise my detector off the ground more (which of course reduces my level of detecting depth in the ground) to prevent false beeping. If I'm in a field that hasn't been kept up on and is littered with tall grass...:BangHead:forget it. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this with their 202 or any other detector?

First off check to make sure your wire is properly wrapped up the shaft and your connections are tight.

Yes, Tesoros ocasionaly do the same thing. Try a coil cover to keep some of the grass of of the coil head directly.
