In this documentary of National geography shows in the minute 5:56 a soldier jumping out from a chopper with a metal detector. The peculiar of this MD is the coil; rectangular. Surely, it is to detect Anti-personnel mines.

I thought a Minelab was for detecting mines.

So we use vallon gizmo ($11,000) vallon minehound ($32,000), and the ceia CMD v1( $7,000) and v3( $11,000) those are the COTs ( commercial off the shelf) detectors we use. They perform amazingly with one exception no discrimination. The minehound is our go to detector do to its awsesome GPR ( ground penetrating radar)
