Excellent!! Was it just in the woods randomly? Or was there once known activities there?

Old overgrown trails throughout the woods. It is kind of odd, I have found silver from 1700's into the 1940's. No foundations or stone walls. Maybe cabins not sure. In 2 months I have found 6 silver quarters,5 silver dimes,1 Spanish reale, 7 Indian heads, 26 wheats, and 1 walking liberty half.

must be some really nice woods, the ones around here are pretty tough, no real walking per say, too many saw briars, blackberries, rocks and the usual stuff, poison oak etc. sounds like you have it figured out pretty good with those finds

Very nice finds. Finding old home sites and cellar holes can yield some excellent finds. Swinging a detector is the last thing in finding treasures. Doing the homework on locations is the first step. Post some more good finds!!
