I don't know what it is but it is certainly not a gun stock. Part of it resembles a fence connector, but I don't think so with the other piece connected to it.

Yep, looks like the cap for a cyclone fence post. The part connected probably held the serpentine or barbed wire.

Any fence pieces ring in loud on my detector. You would swear you had a silver dollar under the coil.
