This is the power supply I've been using for the past year or so with no issues other than a power switch that was a little finicky. Last week it bit the dust and the power light will come on but it registers nothing on my meter. Any suggestions for a replacement? I know some people just use modified AC adapters, but if I get another setup similar to this one are volts or amps more important in quick cleaning? I'd leave that one on 12v at 3A for about 24 hours for most larger pieces of iron.

Edit: I guess that's not the exact one I had. Mine clearly says 3 Amps on the side but that one there doesn't appear to go that high.

look into allelectronics.com they have a lot of surplus ac adapters some of high amperage. You can get a few to try real cheap. I used a slow-charge 2 or 3 amp car
battery charger which worked ok for large irons.
