The company you buy from will tell you if it's compatible or not. The reason for using different coil sizes is the conditions you hunt in and the targets you seek. Smaller coils are better for junky areas where large or multiple targets might mask a desired target underneath or nearby and for smaller target that a large coil might not sense. Large coils are better for large, relatively trash-free areas (for better, quicker coverage) and for deeper targets.
