Found this guy awhile back but never got around to posting it.i found it at a old tavern that has a built on wing that served as a school,A U.S. post office and when the civil war came along it became a C.S. post office. It was also a polling place for the big wigs back in the day. I was reading that golf became popular in the U.S. somewhere between the 1880's and 90's and I think it might be from that period? Not sure if it is a 9 iron or what?,.Seems like it has a story to tell, maybe someone got mad and slammed it on the ground and broke it?Anyway I thought some of you golf enthusiast might appreciate it. Happy Eskimoen everyone!stay warm!joe 002.JPG 003.JPG 004.JPG

That Hosel probably had a Bamboo shaft. I had a set with Bamboo shafts when I was a kid. Didn't play though, got them from neighbor.

That's one not often posted lol.
" Golf is a long, beautiful walk spoiled by a little white ball." I forget where I read that or who said it, but it has stuck with me over the years.

Doesn't look like there's very much loft on it. I believe that you found the head of an early 1900's a putter. But, I may be wrong.

After 6 to 8 hours of swinging my Excalibur in my wetsuit, I walk back to my bike to pack up and head home. I never show anyone on the beach any of my finds for the day. Along the way to the parking lot, I often get asked, "Find any gold today?"
My standard reply is, "I think I'll take up golf."
Congrats on your find.

lol whadifind! That is a little ironic about the name. From what I have seen golf players are really serious about the game.i can just imagine some old timer missing their put and taking it out on the club.

:dontknow:A little electrolysis may shed some light on this. Cool find nonetheless  A whole new meaning to digging "iron".

May be a murder weapon. Take it to the crime lab to see if blood is present. If the case
is solved write a book.
