I've been using mine for about a month, and I'm just about ready to throw it away. It does not detect small foil! It also does a REALLY lousy job of finding gold. A gold ring "almost" got missed by my son, because he couldn't find it in the hole. He had to sight locate the thing, because the pin pointer wasn't picking it up!

My XPointer Wader Li works fine for coins (not great, just ok), but for jewelry and small jewelry? Might as well forget it. As a result, I absolutely CANNOT recommend any one get this pinpointer over something like the Garrett Pro Pointer. Personally, we're going back to the Garrett.

Is it possible something is wrong with yours? I have had problems with all 3 garrets I've had. 2 black ones and an orange 1. It happens.

Well thank you Bainsey for the honest review. the Wader Li is one of the best selling PP's out right now. In fact stock is hard to keep on hand especially with the hardcore enthusiasts in the UK gobbling them up.
