I am fairly new at the Metal Detecting thing & Found this little booger today & I am not sure how old it is.
Would like to say that it was a civil war bullet because of the location but not sure.
I have seen a few bullets from that age but they looked completely different.

If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.
it is exactly 7/8" in length & the base is 1/2" thick.

Noticed that this is your very first post - so Welcome Aboard! I am sure a member will jump in shortly with a answer. In the meantime, take a look at Sub-Forums: Alabama for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Two ringer confederate / south if it is a civil war bullet . The north had three ringers . That is from my research and maybe it is wrong ? I have no civil war areas in my location and have found one two ringer . Ppl still used these bullets after the war so who knows .

Welcome to t-net. Looks like a CS Richmond Sharps. Confederate Bullet. Nice find. Probably more there so hunt it hard. Good luck.

P.S. If you Google CW bullets you will find many different types.

Thanks relic nut! The CS Richmond Sharps looks exactly like it. I looked it up last night to research it. I will be going back to that sight soon & see what else I can find.
Thanks again!
