I googled revolutionary war lions head buckle and found this.
This one is a little different but maybe it will get you on the right track

It is an early British buckle half from a sword belt. They used these right up into the 1870s at least. Very cool find, would be amazing if you found the rest!!

Thank you so much every one, I'm so excited about this find. I also picked up a button that is convex and has 3 cannons on it. I looked it up and turns out it's a royal artillery button from 1790-1802. I have lots of old cellar holes mins from my front door. I'm very lucky.
