That turned out AWESOME Terry! It looks very sharp & I realy like the grip you used on it a lot! Unfortunately Ive been out of work for several months & havent had access to a tig welder so I havent been able to make diggin tools, so Im glad to see someone else pickin up the slack! Once again, very impressed Terry! :)

This is a thread for favorite tools? Id like to show the last tools I was able to make before unemployment set in, I had been thinkin bout this fer some time & this was the 1st prototype (and last........so far). These were givin to a great guy & TN member. One handle & 3 blades & 1 rock chipper, all comes appart so they all fit easily in a backpack. Me & a bud went to the GPAA gold show in Salt Lake & met Tom Massey, host of GOLD FEVER & President of the GPAA & LDMA & he very much wants a set. If I can get to a welder soon I hope to get em done for him, so look for Tom to be using em on Gold Fever in the future, eh? ;)
And Terry..........feel free to make your version of these!

I like the way you think AP the interchangable system is awsome. I guess I will have to hit the drawing board again. :o

Hey Catfish, whoever made that digger i posted, is one hell of a craftsman! :o

AP, Being an Engineer by occupation, I'm impressed with your mighty system! 8)
You are a craftsman 8)

Here's a set of diggin knifes I keep on hand. The top one has a stout blade and can cut a plug out of the toughest soil ::)

Gargage sales, flea markets make for good places to find cheap diggin knifes 8)

What a great digging tool. I think it would be even neater if you could store the extra blades inside the handle. That is except the rock chipper. If you ever made any of these for sale, I would buy one.
