I found this at an early-late 1800's house site and have not been able to find any info on it... it looks like it says 'N.Y.B.Co." on one side and 'ALBANY NY" on the other. Anyone know about this thing?

jeff of pa: That's interesting! I wonder if there is any info in the city of Albany records... there must be something somewhere. Thanks for doing some fancy sleuthing!

Nice find. Sorry I cant answer your question, but possibly an online Newspaper search would result in something helpful. Possibly ancestry.com.

Also, I was reminded that there are bricks with NYBCO stamped on them... maybe New York Brick Company. I'll have to do a bit of investigating on that. Thanks for your responses so far!
