I use the Detecting Buddy with my 17" coil. I modified it to put 2 mountain clips where the shoulder harness and lower piece come together. I took the closing part of the lower clip off. So when I find a target the lower part of the harness comes out very easy allowing me to untether and have freedom to recover the target. One swipe of the upper clip reattaches to continue.

A low cost solution (under 40) that works well. I go for hours on a beach without arm fatigue and occasionally just switch shoulders.

One more thing.......I am tall so I use a common bungee cord for the bottom part. You may need some friction tape to keep it (or the original) from sliding up the shaft.

Anyone use the Minelab Pro Swing 45 ?
anybody have any experience with this harness or one of the other brands?
Will be getting a 17" coil and maybe looking for relief from the weight.

I thought about the Pro Swing, but could not justify the serious expense compared to The Detecting Buddy. So I bought that probably 3 years ago when that Etrac was killing my elbow. I just picked up the 17" coil and hunted with it for an hour. The next time I put on that coil, I'm going to try out The Detecting Buddy for the first time.

DeepseekerADS when you use it report back.
Sounds like a reasonably priced solution?

See attached. This has a couple years of heavy use on it. The key part is the shoulder sling as the rest are quite well served with common things from Walmart.

I use the 45 pro and it works great. i did have one problem with the stitching tearing loose on the right side. I'm right handed. I sent it back to minelab and they replaced it. It takes all the weight off of your detector and works great. Some people I know had trouble getting the adjustments correct but that is operator error. Not the vest. I would recommend it.

The pro-45 Harness is one of Minelabs well thought-out products ! I will not hunt without it as it makes the detector virtually weightless all day long. I know it's a little bit expensive, but .... worth every penny. IMO

I've been Impressed with the Detecting Buddy up until
the Last couple weeks, when I had a Back issue that was aggravated
by it pulling down on my Shoulder in the Wrong direction.

At which point I wished I had the Pro Swing 45 to Try,
Since it appears it may work like a Back Brace.
But imo it's a Bit Pricey to Buy for a Trial.
