Hello all, thought I'd share my first experiences with my bounty hunter time ranger this year. I hunted once at the state beach of lake erie and found a lot of sand was still frozen and hard to dig. I moved closer to where the water was lapping against the beach but below the chunk ice that was present. I had a few targets and dug up some different metal nuggets which I believe were taconite ore pellets and one globbish mass of magnesium. I have one rock that has metal in it but is not magnetic? Oh well. I have hunted the county park twice now and only found buried cans by digging. I think I may need a pin pointer to ease my search and bigger shovel because the half shovel isn't cutting it. Thanks if read this and good luck in your md searches.
