I recently was reintroduced to metal detecting, and I really caught the fever. I dug out my old Prizm IV and started playing around my yard. The old house I live in is still part log cabin, and dates back into the 1800's. I am fortunate to know some of the history of it, especially from 1954 on.
Todays finds included a 1940 wheat penny, an old YMCA locker key tag, some copper spark plug gaskets, and an old piece of ornamental cast iron and some other iron pieces. The little man figure is made of very soft lead and is quite malleable. Unfortunately, it must have committed a capital offense, as it is missing it's head and hands. Last week, the gentleman who got me interested again found an 1889 indian head penny behind my house!
I'm really looking forward to the new Garrett AT Pro that I have on order..hoping to find more goodies.
