Hunted a 1920 house today finds below.

Took my girlfriend and her brother with me to run the AT pro. Wanted to find something decent to get them hooked. Hunted all morning at several sites with no finds that were significant, a junk ring (copper) 1.25 in clad. Most penny's. Got discouraged so I went to my sister's 1920 home. I hadnt hunted it yet so I was hoping for some silver. Sure enough we hit the back yard and my girlfriends brother found a coin spill. first pulled a buffalo (can't read a date) second a 52 Washington and third a 52 wheat. Same hole! I went to wash the coins with water and he pulled a 57 Rosie while I was gone! Needless to say it was a good first hunt of the year... any one know any tips on getting the grime off the buffalo to see if I can read a date? Thanks in advance!

The date(s) on buffs were put on a raised area behind and below the bust. This made the date one of the first things to wear away. If you cannot readily see some sort of date there... it's gone. Sorry. TTC
