I pulled 152 coins from one hole (150 pennies and 2 nickels) but the most face value I dug from a single hole was $3.65 and a marble (71 coins) when I dug up a plastic treasure chest earlier this year here is a link to the post

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/531407-i-dug-my-first-treasure-chest-opie-s-gonna-mad.html

I have found 2 clad factories that both petered out, pulled about $200 from one (a small park in a town so small it doesn't even have a store) and $300 from the other (an old school property that has FB field that is no longer used). For a while if a target didn't ring in as a quarter I did not dig it. Many a day I made over $6 per hour hunting there. this site also gave up some nice old coins. An 1864 2 cent, 1894 Barber quarter, a Buffalo nickel, 2 silver Washingtons, 2 silver rosies, and a Barber dime as well as a few silver rings and a gold class ring.

I have searched in a 40 mile radius of my house and have yet to find another clad factory like those 2.

Earlier this week, I heard a loud target that seemed to be long and narrow. I expected a big rusty bolt or something. Stuck my trowel in the sod and it came up full of coins! The spill was scattered across about 3x6 feet. If I remember right, it adds up to $5.58. Mostly '90s and '00s, and nothing newer than 2006.

I found 51 dimes (2 silver) in one hole. Someone dropped a roll of dimes!

$11.40 in silver in a buried jar this year. And since then, $1.61 in a coin spill at the beach, last week.

I never found more than one coin in a hole till my last 3 hunts. Now these counts are way off compared to the top few but cool for me.
1 - 3 quarters and 2 dimes.
2 - 6 pennies.
3 - 2 quarters and 1 euro.

I found something like that in NC when I hunted with Carolina Tom. a Coin spill which was probably dumped by someone emptying a piggy bank and pulling all the nickels, dimes and quarters and tossing the 168 pennies on the ground. 20160628_192945.jpg

there was a 3rd. half.
but right after I dug it I lost the signal.
apparently the remains of the tobacco tin played havoc on my pinpointer & coil till
everything settled .

Does seven silver Washingtons in a four-inch wide hole count? 😐

Sat was a good day of digging. On the third hole, I pulled out 6 quarters!
A quick Buck Fifty is a nice dig! Ended up with 17 quarters at the end of the day. :occasion14:
