Been a while since I had enough stuff to justify a post of my own.
It has FINALLY been nice enough this past week and a half to get some lunch hunts in, and this is the result.
First let me say I have been hunting an interesting property to say the least. It was originally the grounds between the second fort and the cemetary for the soldiers at the fort. It was used for the soldiers practice during this time. It eventually became the site of a sanitarium (asylum), which became a hospital, and eventually the county offices. The building dates to very early 1900's. Now it is leased to a construction company for storage, and the building is in a sad state of disrepair.
My finds from last week include quite a selection of buckles, mostly horse tack I believe. The bullets are 30-30, and the hinge was close in proximity.

Next I found this lamp part, patent dated 1860.

I found this as a combo eyeball/metal detect find, as I detected the ball at the end, and then noticed the other side sticking out of the ground, right where runoff from the roof was washing out the ground.

Lastly, I found this 1900 IHP, in pretty rough shape. Third one ever for me, so I still love it!

Sorry for the sideways pics, I never seem to remember to turn my phone!

Thanks for looking, and happy hunting everyone!!

Nice finds. Cool dated lamp wick adjuster. The IHP looks good as well, congrats!
