Is this a military button or a civilian button?

I also found this button years ago and I'm getting my old finds in order. I cannot find any buttons online that match it. I had another button that I thought was military and it turned out to be civilian. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Click image for larger version.

Here's the back of the crossed rifle button. Thank you for your help.

It kinda looks like a WW1 Infantry button but I don't recognize the rear sling swivels being on any one I have seen so far. Lets see the back of the button.

I believe that’s a U.S. Army Infantry Branch Collar Disc worn by enlisted soldiers. Looks like the thumb screw is broken off the back. I’ll add a chart in a few minutes to narrow down the dates. My initial guess is pre WW1. If you post this on the “What’s It” section of the forum it will get identified in a matter of minutes....that’s where the real pros hang out.
