You are going to love the Fisher 1235. With it's freq. shift knob you won't have interference from others close by. It has a very fast response time for targets close together. I still take mine out for a spin once in awhile, or I will as soon as I can walk well again on springs soft grass.

As for the addiction, there is no hope except a continued enlarging collection of metal detectors.

addictive??? :o i have too many detectors now and am looking at buying another one, oh by the way, i even have an old army mine detector, cant get it too work, cable is shorted i think, and it weighs too much for this old broken down body to carry it, on the back of course, in its original carry pouch, doubt if i could even buy batteries for it anymore, guess it will just remain in its waterproof case. if by chance you do find a mda office, see if they have any braches in east tn--- ;D

I just bought my seventh one today.
Each one has it's own special use and setup.
Can't ever have too many, since there is no law against
having more than one.

it is a hopeless addiction --- it starts of simply enough --- you just buy a cheapie detector or maybe a "freind" gets you to try one --- after a few "decent" finds you find yourself "hooked" --- looking at old broken down homes on vacant lots thinking I wonder if I can get access while licking your lips --- soon you crave more powerful "detectors" --the old ones just don't do it for you any more --- more and more dirt you crave --- silver and gold yess ,yesss gold ! you go from bounty hunters or an ace 250 to the M6 and to then on to the "high dollar " stuff --- when land fixes aren't enough , you then want to go "wet" --- your life will become a never ending "find fest"---for the rest of your life ---so enjoy --- Ivan

Bought my SIXTH one a few months ago(a water machine) and am seriously wanting a new one. Heck yes it's addictive...but I don't drink or do illegal drugs. One little addiction shouldn't be a problem. Should it?

Treasure Hunter I just bought another detector and thinking about another one, I thought something was up, being addicted? Looks like I am in good company.

Give me a call on your next trip to the beach and I will go, David
