I have to go to a wedding in Jamaica next year. Do they allow MD there? I would appreciate any advice concerning the trip etc. Thanks, Steve

I detect in Mexico, so I have done a little research. Jamaica would be the last place I would ever take a MD. I have read a few horror stories and no good ones. One guy took his on the beach, only to be robbed of it and his finds. Another guy tried to take it through the gates into a gated beach resort area. They hassld him, called the manager, and he decided that he always wanted a metal detector and said he was going to keep it. The MD owner raised holy heck, and threated to call the tourist beareu, and was able to get out of their with his MD. Just google Detecting in Jamaica. You will find these stories and more. Good luck to you. By the way, I take mine to Cabo mexico and have a great time. Those 10 peso coins are pretty common and they are worth about a buck. Talk about free breakfast andd drinks the next day. Yea Baby!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and this pic is out the window of our timeshare in Cabo. Loveit.
