In the areas I usually hunt you need a pretty stout, very well made scoop. That is why I went with the Sunspot scoop. The bucket is all stainless steel and heavy duty, which also means it is a little on the heavy side, but I love it for what I need it for.

Depends on if you are going to hunt the dry sand in which case a screen sifter type would be best. For water work I too use the Sunspot Stealth because of it's strength and size.

The Diamond Head is also a nice scoop and also should last a lifetime.
