Tesoro Cibola Mod
Who can add a ground balance control to a Cibola? I have heard the name Keith Parker, but can't find any more info on the internet.
Thanks, Jerry

Re: Tesoro Cibola Mod
there is a pot inside the cibola
you can tune the threshold higher or lower depending on the soil condition
the only draw back is you need to take off the electronics box cover
tune it
then put it on
and hope its tuned right

Re: Tesoro Cibola Mod
Would this mod be better than or even as good as a Vaquero?

Re: Tesoro Cibola Mod
But you can hypertune the Cibola anyhow, without taking it apart...
The threshold button is not inside the box--it is an external knob.
The question was about ground balance anyhow. I'm sure there is a mod to manual ground balance any detector. Keith would be a good person to start with--but it might be dangerous for your warranty, I just don't know.

I'm with "Planet1mars", don't risk messing up your warranty. It isn't worth it. Joe

Re: Tesoro Cibola Mod
This post was a little while ago, Jerry, but if you are still interested, and not concerned about your warranty, here's a link with pictures on a Cibola GB mod.

Re: Tesoro Cibola Mod
Thats why I got a V machine. If your going to spend some on the mod, why not see how much it'll cost you to trade up to the V. No warranty issues.
