Is this a meteorite?

I found this rock in a church yard while hunting Civil War relics in Loudoun County (northern) Virginia. It was about 8 inches down and gave a signal that was better than iron. It passes the magnet test. You can see the chondrules in it. There were no other rocks nearby. Any info is appreciated.

nothing obvious from the photos to say it is or is not, i'd recommend a nickel test.

The only way to see what you have is to cut it through the middle with a wet saw. If you take it a Home Depot rental center, I'll bet you could talk them into sectioning it for nothing on the spot.

By the way, good photography and good call on the possible chondrules. Regardless of appearances, be sure to post the results because there may be an outer solar system possibility even if it doesn't fit into a standard chondrite class. I have strong evidence that Oort Cloud comet crust may be similar to inner solar system CB chondrites, but with low nickel and an absence of iridium.
