A couple of local enthusiasts and the local lapidary shop have all said yes, that it is a meteorite. I found this and a few others on one of many trips into the desert to one of my favorite spots to hunt out her near Tucson,Az.

Please let me know what you think" if it's real in your opinion from what u can see. Or something else." and if wanted I'll post pics of the others I found with it. Thanks in advance.

That's not only interesting, it's FASCINATING!! A friend in South Dakota sent me a similar looking sample from his mine. It's non-magnetic, is similarly dark colored, etc. My piece, when in the Earth, there was a void inside the rock. Inside the void, this rock made lots of small, round nodules.

Ah! Found the pics. That's good, because I shudder to think where I put the bucket of rocks! I don't have a clue whether yours is a meteorite or not, but I know for certain mine isn't. So for me, even if I could inspect yours up close and in person, my answer is still the same - I ain't got a clue!

I've collected meteorites for close to 35 years. It's not always easy with photos, but, in this case, that's pretty clearly not a meteorite.

When I was hunting for Meteorites I always carried a lot of different baits for my rods. I started with iron and when I found a signal I would change baits. I used 9 different baits. I would not follow a signal unless I had one with at least 5 of these elements. Iron..,.Nickel....Granite...Magnesium..Colbalt....Silicate...Bronite..Diamond or Iridium.

I think it's an HP mouse and an over-nuked chocolate POP-tart. Personally, I'm partial to Brown Sugar and Strawberry but Chocolate will do on a pinch. Now, if your POP-tart was/is actually a meteorite, then it's the just barely-est rite I've seen - or would it be the mostly-est wrong rite I've seen? In either case, that one would've certainly caused me to do a centuple take. I love your rock...and POP-tarts.

Just trying to be helpful but your list of elements is a time waster. I'm oK with iron, nickel and cobalt but the others
are either non-existent or so rare as to not bother. Granite is not an element but a mix of quartz, feldspar, mica and
possibility others. Bornite is a copper mix also. I would have to ask Jim From Idaho if diamonds can be seen on a MD.
Because they are carbon I guess it's possible .07%-.03% of my information. Speaking broadly I would stick with iron
and nickel as that's sure hit (maybe).
Maybe Terry Soloman could weigh in here as to what he finds useful. He's hunted a lot.
