My dad bought me this “civil war bayonet” from chregslist for my birthday. My question is it even real? Any information on it?

It's real alright!! Whether it is CW is another story. It could be from a post CW trapdoor Springfield 45-70. You would need to measure the inside diameter of the tubular part to determine what rifle it went on.
