I found this last September on the beach, a 6lb'r fitted with a wooden beech fuse and filled with 36 lead musket balls.

The wooden fuse is with Jersey Heritage getting preserved, Im doing the rest at home.

Bucket list find for me, unlikely ever to get another of this type.

Bully, that is one Terrific find. The Case shot shells filled with iron canister balls devastated advancing lines of Infantry during the American War Between the States. One look at these and you could only imagine the devastating and deadly results they would wreak on soldiers. At the Battle of Gettysburg during Pickett's Charge, Union gunners were ramming Double Canister once the advancing Confederate lines of Infantry closed within about 200 yards. Devastating. You have a great find there. Congrat's.
